Our motivation
Roe & Rifle
We are a team of passionate Austrian and Hungarian hunters, coming from families with many generations of passionate hunters, who are dedicated to keep up the great traditions that have been established over centuries.
You got lucky so far, if you haven’t had one of the following experiences yet, with one of the classic “side business” hunting organizers, most people engage with for hunting in Hungary and Romania:
- Friends of the organizer are constantly placed at the better spots.
- Accommodations like form a 70s horror movie.
- Bad food.
- Hidden fees (like the local hunting license) being announced before the hunt and need to be paid on the spot in cash.
- A feeling of having been badly ripped off by the organizer with overpromising and underdelivering.

We asked ourselves, why stay at places we feel miserable and uncomfortable at, that would not even make a 1* rating in the local category, why eat bad quality food, why struggle with grumpy organizers!?
